Gray's Garden of Eat'n

The farm originally started in 2002 as a Pick-Your-Own Farm inspired by the book Pick Your Own Farming: Cash Crops for Small Acreages by Ralph L. Wampler and James E. Motes.

The farm operated from 2002 to 2007. We then closed the farm because balancing a full-time CPA practice and a full-time farming operation became more than I could manage. After many years away, I am excited to once again welcome visitors back to the farm, in a little different growing area.

This land has a long agricultural history. From the 1960s until about 1972, it was operated as a dairy farm, complete with its own bottling plant that delivered milk to local customers. We have a wonderful view of the Huachuca Mountains and are located about 1.5 miles west of the seasonal San Pedro River. The soil we grow on is sandy due to our proximity to the “river”, and I feel it is some of the best growing soil in the county.

My name is Clinton Gray, the founder and owner of Gray’s Garden of Eat’n, and a passionate grower of Food and Flowers. I am a forth generation Arizona Native, with family who settled in Arizona before it was a state. Some of my earliest, and most fond memories are of my father’s and grandfather’s gardens. I even received some bare root apple trees, in a feed sack, from a family friend, as a wedding gift back in 1991.

I really love this piece of land and do my very best to be a good steward of it, and of all God’s creations. Our farm’s motto is:

"Grown With Care, By People Who Care."
